Amanda’s College Blog

A day in the life of a college student…

Who am I and why am I doing this? September 5, 2008

Hi!  I’m Amanda, and I am a freshman sophomore at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.  I sing… all the time… and also play piano, harp, and cello.  I’m currently planning on majoring in English Religion with perhaps a major or minor in music something else as well…

As I begin the transition into the next stage of my life (I’m sorry I can’t think of a less cliche way of saying that right now) with the beginning of college, I thought that starting a blog would be a good way for me to have a record of the experience, as well as a good way to keep in touch with friends and family and let them know how and what I’m doing.

Fun reading about your start. Can’t believe you don’t have more classes. How many quarter/semester hours are you taking.

I’m taking 17 credits, which is as many as you can take without being charged more. 4 of those are music (lessons/ensemble), and 1 is Jazz dance, though.

Have I mentioned yet that I am jealous that you get to take college courses and I get to take…(grumbles) education classes?

AP is fun this year, but not the same without you, Alicia, Kristiana et al…

I am jealous that you get to choose what you take…I get told what I am teaching! algebra1-2 is nothing like pre-calc with you guys! I was laughing hysterically at your blog about your favorite tune……
Enjoy this time in particular…it is as close to utopia as you will get without any “real” responsibilities!
